University Reputation Improvement

Background & Context
The university has not been able to improve its global rankings in recent years despite its efforts to improve. The President had a clear vision to make improvements in its international reputation.
Objectives
To elevate the academic quality and international standing of Yarmouk University through improving research quality and citations per faculty, elevating the reputation of the university with the global academic community and employers
Key Interventions
- Review and amendments of policies related to research and promotion
- Development of an outreach and marketing plan
- Development of social media products
- Creation of data collection systems and a CRM to manage employer, alumni and academic information
Outcomes & Impact
QS Rankings: improvement from #951-1000 in 2025 to # 851 to 900 in 2026 , a rise of 100 places.
Implementation Process
The Ministry coordinated with the Egyptian Knowledge Bank and university leadership teams using a phased approach of diagnostics, planning, and implementation supported by national data tools.
Outcomes & Impact
- QS Rankings: From 1 university in the top 500 (2017) to 13 universities listed (2022).
THE Rankings: From 3 universities in the top 980 (2017) to 23 universities listed (2022).
